Weight gains of Eimeria-challenged chickens were lower than those of untreated ones. Supplemental Arg overcome retarded growth in coccidia-challenged chickens. Subjecting the chickens to coccidiosis reduced liver weight and carcass yield. Dietary Arg supplementation increased villi height to crypt depth ratio. Supplemental Arg improved morphological indices in coccidia-challenged chickens.
