Impact of insecticides on spiralling whitefly, Aleurodicus dispersus (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) and its natural enemy complex in cassava under open field conditions
Newer insecticides offer potential for spiralling whitefly control as they maintain high toxicity to insects at lower doses. Acephate & triazophos were effective in controlling the A. dispersus & produced the highest yield. All insecticides reduced significantly the emergence of parasitoids & percent parasitism. Buprofezin was safe to Cybocephalus spp. & Mallada astur. These findings can be utilized in deciding the spray schedule & for safety evaluation in cassava.
