Tannase enhances the anti-inflammatory effect of grape pomace in Caco-2 cells treated with IL-1β

Tannase treatment liberates monomeric polyphenolics and aglycones of grape pomace. Tannase treatment enhances antioxidant activity of grape pomace. Grape pomace and tannase treated grape pomace attenuate IL-8 and PGE2 secretions. Grape pomace and tannase treated grape pomace inhibit IL-1β-induced NF-κB activation. Tannase treatment increases anti-inflammatory actions of grape pomace in Caco-2 cells.
