210Po is the dominant radionuclide measured in a total of 125 fish samples. The average activity concentration was 1.5 Bq/kg fresh weight (fw).

Activity concentration of 210Po in fish showed a negative dependency on fish size.

While an average 137Cs level of 6.1 Bq/kg fw was observed, none of the fish samples analysed in this study contained any detectable levels of 134Cs.

The long-term (1979–2014) effective half-life of 137Cs in fish from the ELA was estimated to be 10.9 years.
