Azimuthal anisotropy of charged jet production in Pb-Pb collisions

Jet finding is performed employing the anti-d="mmlsi4" class="mathmlsrc">data-mathURL="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_eid=1-s2.0-S0370269315009958&_mathId=si4.gif&_user=111111111&_pii=S0370269315009958&_rdoc=1&_issn=03702693&md5=8bde6446c7e4c21bf5d7e21865c1dbd1" title="Click to view the MathML source">kTdden">de">kT algorithm with a resolution parameter d="mmlsi5" class="mathmlsrc">data-mathURL="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_eid=1-s2.0-S0370269315009958&_mathId=si5.gif&_user=111111111&_pii=S0370269315009958&_rdoc=1&_issn=03702693&md5=f17e38ffc9bf41b4ab05059c2afe8ae2" title="Click to view the MathML source">R=0.2dden">de">R=0.2 using charged tracks from the ALICE tracking system. The contribution of the azimuthal anisotropy of the underlying event is taken into account event-by-event. The remaining (statistical) region-to-region fluctuations are removed on an ensemble basis by unfolding the jet spectra for different event plane orientations independently. Significant non-zero d="mmlsi3" class="mathmlsrc">data-mathURL="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_eid=1-s2.0-S0370269315009958&_mathId=si3.gif&_user=111111111&_pii=S0370269315009958&_rdoc=1&_issn=03702693&md5=a502abb3ef571b344332c237a661101d">dth="37" alt="View the MathML source" title="View the MathML source" src="/sd/grey_pxl.gif" data-inlimgeid="1-s2.0-S0370269315009958-si3.gif">dden">de">i3.gif" overflow="scroll">v2ch jet is observed in semi-central collisions (30&ndash;50% centrality) for d="mmlsi6" class="mathmlsrc">data-mathURL="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_eid=1-s2.0-S0370269315009958&_mathId=si6.gif&_user=111111111&_pii=S0370269315009958&_rdoc=1&_issn=03702693&md5=2fa6848d63c95add4d7a510e3f1234bd">dth="145" alt="View the MathML source" title="View the MathML source" src="/sd/grey_pxl.gif" data-inlimgeid="1-s2.0-S0370269315009958-si6.gif">dden">de">20<pTch jet<90 GeV/c. The azimuthal dependence of the charged jet production is similar to the dependence observed for jets comprising both charged and neutral fragments, and compatible with measurements of the d="mmlsi7" class="mathmlsrc">data-mathURL="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_eid=1-s2.0-S0370269315009958&_mathId=si7.gif&_user=111111111&_pii=S0370269315009958&_rdoc=1&_issn=03702693&md5=944f8b730bcac9bffb264c63b0082d73" title="Click to view the MathML source">v2dden">de">v2 of single charged particles at high d="mmlsi8" class="mathmlsrc">data-mathURL="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_eid=1-s2.0-S0370269315009958&_mathId=si8.gif&_user=111111111&_pii=S0370269315009958&_rdoc=1&_issn=03702693&md5=d326eba5bc19e18321ee2db7aae3cd7f" title="Click to view the MathML source">pTdden">de">pT. Good agreement between the data and predictions from JEWEL, an event generator simulating parton shower evolution in the presence of a dense QCD medium, is found in semi-central collisions.
