Brain and intestinal expression of galanin-like peptide (GALP), galanin receptor R1 and galanin receptor R2, and GALP regulation of food intake in goldfish (Carassius auratus)
Restricted and discrete areas of the goldfish brain show GALP, GALR1 and GALR2-like immunoreactivity. GALP and GALR1 and GALR2-like immunoreactive cells are found in the goldfish intestinal mucosa. GALP dose-dependently increases food intake in goldfish after ICV administration.
