A new corrosion-crack correlation model for fatigue behaviour is proposed. Fatigue crack growth behaviour of pipeline carbon steels in hydrogen gas is described. Formulae for the critical frequency and the transition stress intensity factor are derived. An equation is proposed to calculate plateau stress intensity range KpKp. The model can be applied to various API grade pipeline steels.
