We present measurements of the azimuthal dependence of charged jet production in central and semi-central f&_user=111111111&_pii=S0370269315009958&_rdoc=1&_issn=03702693&md5=af3704114ca547b5a0517604f2f8bf64">f" data-inlimgeid="1-s2.0-S0370269315009958-si1.gif"> Pb–Pb collisions with respect to the second harmonic event plane, quantified as f&_user=111111111&_pii=S0370269315009958&_rdoc=1&_issn=03702693&md5=a502abb3ef571b344332c237a661101d">f" data-inlimgeid="1-s2.0-S0370269315009958-si3.gif">. Jet finding is performed employing the anti-formulatext stixSupport mathImg" data-mathURL="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_eid=1-s2.0-S0370269315009958&_mathId=si4.gif&_user=111111111&_pii=S0370269315009958&_rdoc=1&_issn=03702693&md5=8bde6446c7e4c21bf5d7e21865c1dbd1" title="Click to view the MathML source">kT algorithm with a resolution parameter formulatext stixSupport mathImg" data-mathURL="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_eid=1-s2.0-S0370269315009958&_mathId=si5.gif&_user=111111111&_pii=S0370269315009958&_rdoc=1&_issn=03702693&md5=f17e38ffc9bf41b4ab05059c2afe8ae2" title="Click to view the MathML source">R=0.2 using charged tracks from the ALICE tracking system. The contribution of the azimuthal anisotropy of the underlying event is taken into account event-by-event. The remaining (statistical) region-to-region fluctuations are removed on an ensemble basis by unfolding the jet spectra for different event plane orientations independently. Significant non-zero f&_user=111111111&_pii=S0370269315009958&_rdoc=1&_issn=03702693&md5=a502abb3ef571b344332c237a661101d">f" data-inlimgeid="1-s2.0-S0370269315009958-si3.gif"> is observed in semi-central collisions (30–50% centrality) for f&_user=111111111&_pii=S0370269315009958&_rdoc=1&_issn=03702693&md5=2fa6848d63c95add4d7a510e3f1234bd">f" data-inlimgeid="1-s2.0-S0370269315009958-si6.gif">. The azimuthal dependence of the charged jet production is similar to the dependence observed for jets comprising both charged and neutral fragments, and compatible with measurements of the formulatext stixSupport mathImg" data-mathURL="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_eid=1-s2.0-S0370269315009958&_mathId=si7.gif&_user=111111111&_pii=S0370269315009958&_rdoc=1&_issn=03702693&md5=944f8b730bcac9bffb264c63b0082d73" title="Click to view the MathML source">v2 of single charged particles at high formulatext stixSupport mathImg" data-mathURL="/science?_ob=MathURL&_method=retrieve&_eid=1-s2.0-S0370269315009958&_mathId=si8.gif&_user=111111111&_pii=S0370269315009958&_rdoc=1&_issn=03702693&md5=d326eba5bc19e18321ee2db7aae3cd7f" title="Click to view the MathML source">pT. Good agreement between the data and predictions from JEWEL, an event generator simulating parton shower evolution in the presence of a dense QCD medium, is found in semi-central collisions.
