A new fossil assemblage with cold-adapted taxa from Northeast Iberia is presented. The assemblage includes the first Iberian find of a rare Mammuthus primigenius dP2. Fossils are older than most of the MIS 3 Iberian occurrences of cold-adapted taxa. A particular mixture of temperate and cold taxa is observed at Teixoneres assemblage. Results suggest that the “mammoth fauna” was never completely established in Iberia.
