A method for optimally combining multifrequency information in phase-resolved luminescence spectroscopy is proposed.

Rectangular-wave signals are used to improve the accuracy in the determination of the analyte concentration.

An estimation on-the-fly of uncertainties associated with measurements is possible.

The proposed method has been applied to an oxygen measuring system.
