This ecological small-area study included mortality data for all Spain. PM10, PM2.5, NO2 and O3 were associated with increased mortality risk. A 5 μg/m3 increase in PM10 was associated with a reduction of ten months of life. Greenness only showed a protective association for mortality in low SES areas.
