Mapping quantitative trait loci and identifying candidate genes affecting feed conversion ratio based onto two linkage maps in common carp (Cyprinus carpio L)
The common carp is one of the most popular aquaculture species. Feed Consumption Ratio is an important factor in common carp. Improvement of FCR not only reduce the feed cost but also will increase the aquaculture production. Present findings of candidate QTL might be used in MAS program. Identify candidate gene related to FCR by blasting candidate QTL interval into common carp genome.
