A system for the use and storage of renewable electricity is simulated. Energy is stored in hydrogen using liquid organic hydrogen carriers. Simulations are based on experimental data for dibenzyltoluene. A self-sufficient energy storage system is technically feasible but not economical. Price of renewable energy production shows the strongest influence on profitability.
