Fresh and frozen sperm motility and velocities remain constant over the spawning season in P. lineatus and B. orbignyanus. Sperm motility and velocity of P. lineatus and B. orbignyanus do not significantly change over successive spawning seasons. P. lineatus fresh and frozen sperm possesses higher curvilinear velocity compared to B. orbignyanus sperm. B. orbignyanus fresh sperm possesses higher straight line velocity compared to P. lineatus sperm.
