Powder topcoats were applied on top of MgRPs for the first time. (MgRP-powder topcoat) coating system provided much longer corrosion protection time to Al substrate than the powder coat by itself. MgRP as an under layer did not affect the application quality of powder topcoat and the final coating appearance.
