We investigated infection by C. solearis in a P. argus population in Mexico.
Metacercariae encyst in both abdominal and cephalothoracic muscles.
Average prevalence was 11.7% but probability of infection increased with lobster size.
Prevalence varied with season but was consistently higher in one of three bay zones.
The first intermediate host and effects of C. solearis on P. argus remain unknown.
