The selectivity of CO/CH4 is sensitive to Pt particle size. CH4 formed over the Pt/TiO2 catalysts following a consecutive pathway. Larger Pt particles facilitate the CO hydrogenation toward CH4. The formation of CH4 can be restricted by mounting the space velocity.
