The highest catalytic stability is obtained on the La-based catalyst at 800 °C. With La, a britholite phase is formed during the reaction preventing the deactivation. The FeNi3 alloy is mainly observed on Ce-based material. A deep surface reconstruction, evidenced by XPS, proceeds during the reaction.
