S cathode for LiS battery was examined for pre-lithiation to form Li2S. An electrochemical pre-lithiation method for S electrode was proposed. The pre-lithiation improved the cycle performance of cathode. Li metal free full cell with graphite anode and prelitiated S cathode was examined. Polypyrrole on cathode with pre-lithiation exhibited improved cell performance.
