Leptin, ghrelin, and neuropeptide-Y have anti-convulsive effects. Leptin, ghrelin, and neuropeptide-Y are related to inflammation and epilepsy. Leptin, ghrelin, and NPY reduce inflammatory mediators in this seizure model. Leptin increased endogenous galanin levels in PTZ-induced convulsive seizure. Leptin, ghrelin, and NPY reduced seizure-induced early immune response.
