Penicillium verruculosum CBH II (PvCel6A) is glycosylated at four Asn residues. Effects of N-glycans on the activity and processivity of rPvCel6A were studied. N-glycans in PvCel6A affect the pointed parameters either negatively or positively. Mechanism of N-glycan influence seems to be universal for GH6 and GH7 family CBHs. The observed effects are explained in terms of a mechanistic model.
