Gene content matrices were constructed for 21 Anopheline mosquito species/strains and outgroups. The e−75 cutoff presence/absence single linkage clustering matrix had over 17000 ortholog groups. Gene content phylogenetic hypothesis in general agreement with gene sequence based phylogenies. Gains and losses of genes show low frequency at centromeres and tips of chromosomes.
