SDC nanopowder is sintered at a temperature ∼500 °C lower than in conventional processes. A nanograined microstructure is obtained after sintering. An optimum firing condition has been identify at 1100 °C using a soaking time of 30 s. This sintering process allows to couple SDC electrolyte with Cu-based anodes in IT-SOFC applications.
