A novel three phases Fap-Hap-glass-ceramics is prepared by sol–gel route. Results showed a nucleation and growth of hydroxyapatite nano-phase in the glass. Fap-Hap-glass-ceramics had mechanical properties similar to enamel and dentin. The friction coefficient of Fap-Hap-glass-ceramics was slightly higher than enamel.
