Carbonnanotubes improved the ammonium biosensor response time from 120 to 30 s. Carbonnanotubes improved the linearity range of biosensor (0.05–500 mM NH4+). Carbonnanotubes improved detection limit of sensor from 0.1 to 0.001 mM NH4+. Multiwalled carbonnanotubes increased the response signal by around 2.4 times. Biosensor was validated against Nessler's method by using real and spiked samples.
