Cornstalk buffer strip increased the infiltration and decreased the soil erosion. Runoff-sediment relationship coefficients described the soil erosion decrease. Buffer strips increased sheet flow velocity but decreased rill flow velocity. Buffer strips increased the runoff threshold and the critical hydrodynamic parameters required for soil erosion to be initiated.
