A nonlinear Euler-Bernoulli beam under a concentrated harmonic excitation with intermediate nonlinear support is investigated. The nonlinear support device contains both quadratic and cubic nonlinearities. The Multi-dimensional incremental harmonic balance method (MIHBM) is derived. Amplitude-frequency curve, bifurcation and 3-D frequency spectrum are used to analyze the system. The excitation amplitude (fP), nonlinear support stiffness (kC) and support location (xK) are investigated.
