Boiling heat transfer near CHF for downward facing heating is investigated. Boiling characteristics are studied via experimental observation and test data. Cyclic processes of nucleate/transition/nucleate boiling regime are revealed. Present measured CHF for pool boiling is close to those from the previous works. Boiling heat transfer is enhanced by increasing injection flowrate.
