The overall incidence of PD was significantly higher in the AKI cohort with an adjusted HR of 1.47. Compared with the non-AKI cohort aged ≤ 64, the relative risk of PD was 14.1 for the AKI cohort aged ≥ 80. Patients with AKI were associated with a higher long-term risk of PD.
