We investigated an outbreak of 4 cases of New Delhi metallo-β-lactamase-1–producing Enterobacter cloacae in our hospital.
Nosocomial transmission of related isolates had likely occurred via health care staff.
Workforce issues and environmental contamination might have contributed to the spread.
Findings highlight our staff's need to improve personal infection control measures.
