Atmospheric deposition of particles at a sensitive alpine lake: Size-segregated daily and annual fluxes from passive sampling techniques

文摘
Passive sampling coupled with particle counting measured size-specific dry and wet deposition fluxes at daily resolution. The dry deposition flux more tilted towards coarse/large particles than wet deposition flux. Tourist and construction activities at near-shore zones contributed substantially to particle deposition over Lake Tahoe. Wet processes dominated the annual deposition flux despite much fewer precipitation days than non-precipitation days. Findings contrast the current Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) estimate in the size distribution of dry deposition fluxes.
