Influence of nickel on the structural, optical and magnetic properties of PbS thin films synthesized by successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) method

We have coated Ni doped PbS thin film on a glass substrate with a preferential orientation along (1 1 1) plane.

The absorption coefficient was greater than 105 cm−1 which confirms that the films have a direct band gap.

The VSM studies indicate that the grown thin film behaves as a multi domain ferromagnetic material and can be used as a soft magnetic material.
