Self-ordering dual-layered honeycomb nanotubular titania: Enhanced structural stability and energy storage capacity

Novel honeycomb titania (HC) morphology is compared against regular TiO2 nanotubes. HC has superior stability with 33% higher capacitance retention. Areal capacitance of HC is 60% higher than regular TiO2 nanotubes. Valance Band Maximum of the annealed HC was at 2.32 eV from the Fermi level.
