Combined upflow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) and aerated MBR system was designed. Purified terephthalic acid wastewater was effectively treated by combined UASB-MBR. Combined UASB-MBR system showed 97% COD removal efficiency in PTA treatment. Polyimide membrane has high potential for biogas purification. Polyimide membrane showed high selectivity and permeability towards CO2 than CH4.
