The lipoprotein profile of 75 children are summarized including HDL efflux capacity. HDL-efflux capacity in healthy children was negatively associated with early childhood adiposity. Maternal diet during pregnancy predicted mean HDL-C but not efflux capacity. Children's diet did not predict HDL-C or efflux capacity.
