Silver nanoparticles were deposited onto In2S3 precursor layer by spray pyrolysis.

The silver nanoparticle size and density could be controlled by deposition time.

Phase transitions during deposition and material properties were investigated.

The layers still show semiconducting properties after phase transitions.

Plasmonic absorption enhancement has been demonstrated.
