The mean purity of clinical-grade Tregs after ex vivo expansion is greater than 70%. The large-scale expansion rate obtained with CellGro DC medium is comparable to that of X-Vivo 15 medium. The suppressive capacity of expanded Tregs is maintained independent of cell culture medium. Migratory capacity of CD4+CD25+CD127− Tregs is not affected by ex vivo expansion.
