The thermoelastohydrodynamic behaviors of T-grooves gas face seal are studied in theory.

Temperature fields of gas film with thermal effect and elastic deformation considered are calculated.

The influences of heat dissipation and face distortion on seal performances are numerical analyzed.

A convergent gap is formed under low pressure condition, and a divergent gap is formed under high pressure condition.
