Investigating electrical resistant heating impact on essential oil extraction. Faster essential oil extraction via ohmic heating, with relatively higher yield. No adverse impact of ohmic heating on chemical composition & biological properties. Almost 11% more 1,8-cineole and 7% more chrysanthenone were extracted via ohmic. Less electrical energy consumption through ohmic hydrodistillation.
