The hydrogen storage performance of the alloy ZK60 modified with 2.5 wt.% mischmetal was evaluated.

Mischmetal addition led to the formation of intermetallic phases containing mainly Ce and La.

Severe plastic deformation techniques were applied.

ECAP followed by cold rolling led to improved hydrogen storage properties.
