Ovarian cancer is associated with a high risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE). VTE in ovarian cancer patients is influenced by cancer-related, patient-related and treatment-related risk factors. Coagulation factors that play a role in VTE, also influence ovarian cancer progression. Coagulation factors may serve as diagnostic and prognostic factors in ovarian cancer.
