Natural antimicrobials showed a high activity against pathogenic bacteria and fungi. Additive and synergistic effect occurred with the number of combinations. Bioactive coating acted in synergy with irradiation to eliminate pathogens. Results led to an industrial potential for extending the shelf-life of RTE vegetables.
