An innovative method of preservation of fruits is proposed. The effectiveness of combined preservation methods: candelilla wax edible coatings and biocontrol bacteria to extend the shelf life of strawberry was proved. The edible coatings in combination with biocontrol bacteria significantly reduce damage caused by Rhizopus stolonifer.
