Intersubband optical absorption between multi energy levels of electrons in InGaN/GaN spherical core-shell quantum dots

Based on the finite element method, the electronic states are calculeted in consideration of built-in electric field (BEF). Under the BEF, the optical absorption between intersubbands with main quantum numbers n = 1 and n = 2 is as important as that between ones with n = 1. Size and ternary component can be used to modify the optical absorption coefficients and refractive index changes.
