Numerical simulation of complete liquid-vapour phase change process inside porous media: A comparison between local thermal equilibrium and non-equilibrium models
Simulation of complete liquid-vapour phase change process has been considered. The two phase mixture model has been used along with LTE and LTNE assumptions. Smoothing of effective diffusion coefficient is essential for all cases. LTE model produces unrealistic results and hence LTNE model is recommended. For partitioning of wall heat flux, Model-2 is the most realistic and Model-1 is the most stable.
