Thinning reduced stand structural heterogeneity (SSH) and growth dominance (GD). SSH and GD increased with time, except after the second thinning. Increase in SSH and GD with time was also reduced by thinning. Reductions tended to be greater the more intense the thinnings were. After the second thinning SSH remained constant and GD slightly decrease with time.
