Intestinal ischemia reperfusion (II/R) induced acute lung injury (ALI) in rats.
Increased level of phosphorylated p38 MAPK and AQP4 in the lung tissues plays important roles in the ALI after II/R.
SB239063 administration improved ALI after II/R, associated with reduced expression of phosphorylated-p38 MAPK and AQP4.
p38 MAPK may be one of the pathways mediating AQP4 expression in the ALI induced by II/R.
