Core-shell microstructure realized by diffusion-process with minor Nd-based alloys. Coercivity of over 0.7 T achieved without substantially reducing remanence. Face-center-cubic crystallographic structure confirmed for Ce-rich GB phase. Compositions of core region, shell region and grain boundary phases estimated by EDS. Enhanced anisotropy due to core-shell microstructure proved by Henkel plot.
