Various special groups are at increased risk of vaccine-preventable diseases. Vaccination strategies are in place for special groups to address disease risk. Preterm infants and pregnant women often do not receive recommended vaccines. Many people who are immunocompromised due to disease or aging are under-vaccinated. Healthcare providers’ adherence to national recommendations needs to be improved.
