Mixing and combustion properties in a dual-mode combustor were explored numerically.

Influences of injection strategy and fuel equivalence ratio on mode transition were evaluated.

Vertical injection is beneficial for mode transition with fixed total equivalence ratio, as well as larger total equivalence ratio.

Lower total equivalence ratio and smaller fuel equivalence ratio discrepancy are beneficial for mixing augmentation.
